Primitive Americana Hand-Woven Folk Art Rug
This one-of-a-kind piece is an American Folk Art rug designed and hand-crafted by an unknown artisan. As is the case with similar pieces, the rug is not signed or dated. However, similar rugs were typically made in America during the early portion of the 20th century. The maker of this one crocheted individual strips of wool fabric into a striking sunburst pattern. This rug is beautiful, well-made and incorporates a wonderful array of colors. It is in excellent vintage condition. The rug has been mounted on a linen-covered board for display. It can easily be removed for use on the floor or to drape over a sofa, table or bench.
