Unreal Palatial Antique Carpet Northeast Khorrassan Gem with Smokey Wine, Antique Ruby, Soft-Glacier Blue, Apricot About: This is one of the most BEAUTIFUL pieces we've ever laid eyes on! That size with the open space of sangria-ruby meets smokey merlot and beautiful Persian Plum-like hues that surround the Pond-like Water-Garden with large scaled fish that swim in an infinite circle representing balance and life itself! This piece has an EXTRA woven border with cartouche motifs that hold flora growing in army-sage green and earthy camel and cashew nearby. This piece is just MESMERIZING and the more you look the more it feeds your soul and plays Beethoven for the Eyes!! Taking Iconic Beauty from Ancient rug weaving villages and presenting them in a more open and artistic fashion really captivates us when we look at this piece - to me the weavers must have been influenced by the Orient through trades and interacting with merchants through the Silk Road as there is without a doubt some Eastern influence in this spectacle antique rug. We love it, can you tell? You will love it as well - whether it be for a California Mediterranean home, a Mountain House near the Rocky Terrain, a Sprawling Estate in the South or East Coast, or a Commercial project that needs some EYE CANDY and HEART PUMPING ART - this piece is Truth via Organic Sheep Wool and Natural dyes from the elevated remote landscapes. Size: 13.2 x 15.7 Age: Antique; C. 1910-30's Pile: Low pile with age-related wear and patina throughout which is to be expected for the size and age of this piece. You will note some very minor ancient repairs that I've pointed out, and also the majority of the Wine / Merlot / Burgundy color had a metal of some sort in the dye when it was originally being woven so you can see that it has oxidized over time!! Incredible. This rug is one-of-a-kind, only one available. Because of the nature and age of these older/antique handmade pieces, irregularities and age-related wear are likely to exist and are not considered defects. Always recommend a high-quality custom cut pad for any and all rugs; these pads are made for hand-knotted rugs. They create a body and support the knots of the rug, as well as prevent it from slipping and sliding. This rug is also available with a custom cut pad (sold separately).
