Labeled
An exceptional 100% wool carpet from 'The 20th Century Masters Collection' by Ege Art Line and produced in Denmark. Based on designs by a selection of renowned artists, including Van Gogh. This Vincent Van Gogh titled Cherry Blossom has vibrant modern colors on a sky blue background. The front signed Vincent with the Ege label on the reverse. 8' 1" by 11' 2"
Festured here in a vignette at our Americana Manhasset gallery with a De-Sede DS-600 sofa, organic modern lacquer coffee tables, and a pair of low easy chairs by Jeanneret.
Ege Carpets was founded by Mads Eg Damgaard in 1938 in Herning, Denmark. In the years to come, the production took place in a small building with only two looms. Mads Eg Damgaard was visionary.
His philosophy was uncompromising: he used only the latest and most advanced technology in carpet production and he was not afraid to challenge convention. His philosophy still survives at Ege Carpets.
