About the Item

INCREDIBLE. I use that word to describe only the befitting, and this piece truly is. Currently a piece in our personal collection, this female mannequin style bust on stand was purchased from the original owner's estate. The bust was a project of her's while she was in art school in the 1920's. She loved it so much she kept her whole life, literally. It is a ONE OF A KIND piece of art comprised of pieces of hardened canvas like material strategically set in place. The pieces are placed, tied, woven and stacked to add incredible detail and depth creating features such as braids, bows and an incredibly detailed dress. The bust is set on steel frame that slides up and down on a height adjustable stand. See the detailed images to truly appreciate this beauty's intricacy and age.
