About the Item
Rare hand-carved wooden indoor pet house for a cat or small dog, typical of Black Forest craftsmanship, circa 1880–1910. Made from solid wood with finely carved bark and branch motifs, featuring decorative windows and an arched opening door (door opening : 13 × 25 cm). Original untouched condition with beautiful aged patina and authentic wear. A remarkable piece of Alpine folk art, both functional and decorative.
Dimensions: approx. 40 × 45 cm, height 48 cm.
Door opening: 13 × 25 cm.
Condition: completely original, unrestored, structurally stabile.
