About the Item
A charming pair of antique Indian teak "dog gates" with iron bars from the early 20th century that were skillfully repainted at some point with elephant and lotus motifs on the panels. Vividly hand painted in shades of aqua, green, orange and white. The gate panels were joined together with cleats on the back and rings attached for hanging on a wall. The gate panels could easily be separated if someone wanted to install these as garden gates.
Condition commensurate with age and use. Random scratches and imperfections in the painted surface and wood add to the charm of this piece. Ready to hang on a wall.
