About the Item
Large scale free standing sculpture hand carved by Emil Milan. Executed in walnut, the flowing sculpture makes way to voids which gives it a light and moving appearance. Chiseled recesses draw your eye to the top. A great piece from the master wood worker. It is rare to find a sculpture this size from Emil Milan. Signed near the bottom. Date of creation unknown.
The Mid-Century designer craftsman Emil Milan described his work as functional sculpture. His carved wooden objects for the home are works of art that represent the influence of Modern Design along with a reverence for wood and the skills necessary to shape it.
Dimensions: 54” high x 17.5” Wide x 10.5” deep
