About the Item
A Swedish Folk Art polychrome carved figure of the well-known young female children's hero, Pippi Longstocking. From the tales and also tv show from the 1960´s, written by the Swedish child writer Astrid Lindgren, this sculpture represents Pippi with her pet monkey "Mr. Nilsson" on her shoulders.
Signed S N (Siver Nilsson) and dated 1970.
