His work stood out for its unique approach to sculpture, combining traditional art with modern technology. He is best known for his modular sculptures in bronze, aluminum, and resin, which could be disassembled into numerous pieces, encouraging viewers to actively engage in their understanding and appreciation. Berrocal created iconic pieces such as "La Minotaura" (1964) and "La Comédie Humaine" (1967), which were exhibited worldwide and received critical acclaim. Apart from his sculptures, Miguel Ortiz Berrocal was also a musician, composer, and writer. He collaborated with artists like Joan Baez and published works on art and philosophy.
