About the Item
This is a Puerto Rican Hand Carved Sculpture of a Common Nightingale. It depicts a well done hand carved grey and off white color bird with a coral color mark at the front of its head. The bird is standing very alert in an original tree branch with one of its grey wings open and long tail. The bird has very expressive eyes. The bird sculpture is attached to a round light brown wood base adorned with green grass at the back of the wood branch. This hand carved bird sculpture was made by another Puerto Rican artist, Ariel Soto. He is from the same era of Elpidio Collazo.
