About the Item
A large, colorful and striking paper mache duck figure by Sergio Bustamante. The rotund sculpture depicting a hand painted duck in blue tonal shades with wings in pastel colors of rose, purple, blue and gold with a vibrant green head.
The duck is a limited edition of only 100 made. Signed and numbered.
Dimensions: 18" L, 9 1/2" W and 14" H
Condition: Please see detail photos. There are a few stray paint flecks mentioned only for accuracy as they do not detract from the fine Mid Century presentation.

Sergio Bustamante
Sergio Bustamante studied architecture at the University of Guadalajara, and sold his artwork while in school, beginning in 1960. After graduating, he worked with local ceramicists, eventually opening his studio. In 1972, Bustamante moved to Amsterdam, where he learned more about painting and design. In 1975, he established his Family Workshop Studio in Tiaquepaque, Mexico. His monumental sculptures can be found in several cities, including Puerto Vallarta, Guadalajara, and Tiaquepaque.
