About the Item

Amusing Mexican terracotta doll figure with articulated limbs. Since it is solid terracotta it is likely this is a mold from which other dolls were made. As a folk art sculpture it is absolutely charming. This one has a fun 'Marcel wave' hair style popular with flappers in the 1920's. The collector who previously owned these clearly prized them, having custom bases made for their display. Singular pieces of quirky sculpture for the adventurous collector. They are appealing in their oddity and uniqueness,. Mexican, circa 1900. Measures: 15.5 inches high 8 wide 10 deep.
