Jean-Claude Gaugy
Jean-Claude Gaugy is a contemporary French artist known for his painted relief sculptures of crystalline abstractions of figures, landscapes, and still lifes. Born on July 7, 1944, in Jura, France, he went on to study at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris and later apprenticed with the celebrated sculptor.
