Circa 1910 trench art whimsy figure composed of a ball in cage, all whittled form one piece of wood. Figurines, like this example, were sculpted by soldiers during the war. Good age present (warm patina and one tiny edge loss to the top, as shown). Overall, fine, antique condition.
