A bold and striking survivor from the early days roadside eateries, this original 1920's “STEAKS AND CHOPS” sign is hand-painted on wood with thick, period-correct lettering in buttery yellow against a rich oxblood red background. Framed in its original green and black-painted butt-jointed edge with excellent surface wear and alligatoring, this piece captures the spirit of early 20th-century Americana. Perfect for collectors of restaurant memorabilia or folk art signage, this example is all original with no touchups, and boasts strong visual presence in any kitchen, dining area, or advertising display.
