This piece comes from the columns in the front of 1 Hill Street in London, the location for W
J Mackintosh. James and W. F. Mackintosh were London-based solicitors (in the UK, this term applies to qualified legal professionals akin to lawyers, though in more of an advisory role instead of representation) during the first half of the 20th century. The sign features debossed lettering and a decorative line graphic with punched grommets for mounting on a column.
