The swordfish is distinguished by its long sword-shaped rostrum also known as the beak, which is actually an extension of the upper jaw.
It is a migratory fish, living in the deep waters of warm temperate seas and oceans around the world.
It is a fast swimmer and uses the sword to strike prey, can weigh over 500 kg and even exceed 4 meters in length.
