This is a set of two vintage building block cases. A German, pine toy box or baukasten in the manner of Froebel, dating to the mid 20th century, circa 1950. Two fascinating building block sets with great period appeal Rare and collectible and displaying a desirable, lightly play-worn patina Pine storage boxes show rich caramel hues with illustrated labels Bricks comprising of straights in different lengths, archways and triangles Crafted in the manner of Friedrich Froebel's sets — the inventor of the kindergarten This is a wonderful opportunity to experience two vintage building box sets, known in German as baukasten.
