About the Item

Weathered Folk Art Miniature Shop Counter, Europe, 1950s. This miniature shop counter likely started its life as a well loved toy. Now is a very attractive decorative folk art piece with a desirable patina. The counter is constructed from wood and exhibits a well-worn, weathered appearance. It is painted in a soft, faded pastel green, with the paint showing signs of age, including areas of chipping and distressing. The upper portion of the counter features multiple open compartments and small shelves. Among these compartments are two small drawers, painted in a contrasting faded coral color, adding a pop of subtle color to the overall design. Just a very decorative piece of folk art with mesmerizing colors and a lovely patina.
