Antique Japanese Recycled Zanshiori Jacket
Zanshi-ori cloth is woven from leftover cotton and silk threads, either from commercial kimono production or from home-produced recycled yarns. They are often used in combination, creating a tightly woven yet textured surface. This jacket is a fine example of the subtle, random patterning of the weft bands that zanshiori weaving is known for.
