About the Item

A strongly carved mask, likely Baule Tribe, on custom iron display stand. With fine serene features, scarification on the forehead, delicately carved hair and surmounted by two forward facing birds, likely protective. The interior displays numerous fine adze marks, and the exterior bears a time polished dark stain. The Mask removes from the stand for ease of shipping. Dimensions: Mask 17.5” high by 7” wide by 4” deep. Overall dimensions on stand 24.25”high by 7” wide by 8” deep. Condition: Please see detail photos. Appropriately time worn and presenting in an exceptional manner.
