About the Item

From the Dogon tribe of Mali in West Africa. A powerful vertical form sculpture of a standing female surmounted by a male Ancestor Figure lifting an offering to the sky. Powerfully carved and in all original condition with excellent age patina and residual offering residue. Condition: Please see detail photos. As stated, the piece is in original condition with some stable age cracks to the base and side as well as the offering cup. as well as various expected chips and scrapes mentioned for accuracy as the presentation is exceptional. Dimensions: 39.25” high by 5” diameter.
