About the Item
Sometimes referred to as dolls, this is a highly abstract figure with conical head, arms and legs held out from body, long columnar neck wrapped with mulitple strands of different size and color beads, in addition to metal rings, cowrie shells, bells and coins. Pair of small beads inset for eyes. Fine incised lines on shoulders and arms representing scarification.
It is in good condition, appropriate for its age, use, and medium. Well used with worn patina, chips, scuffs and nicks here and there.
Mid 20th century or older. A tribally created and used figure.
