About the Item
This is a very fine ceremonial Knife from the Tetela people of Congo. Comprising of brass and copper dedignating the wealth and status of the owner. This piece wpuld have been placed at the right side of the Chief when he was dispensing justice within the village . Collected in the 1930's the piece would have been crafted in the very early part of the 20th century.
The piece comes with a custom stand .
