Very large powerful Dan Guere or We mask from the Ivory Coast Africa ex Fearing collection.
Strong mask with projecting tubular eyes, projecting carved wood tusks over forehead, large wide opening mouth.
It is in good condition, appropriate for its age, use, and medium. Used with early dry patina, chips and erosion in places. Scuffs and nicks here and there. Good evidence of use and wear inside from tribal use. Old native repair with staples to lower jaw.
