Vintage Vietnamese Front Pack Basket. Cleverly woven with three open compartments and two shoulder straps with a variation of weave patterns and well finished trim. To be worn on the front and excellent for gathering leaves and berries. Woven of smoked bamboo skin. Minor signs of wear and age, otherwise fine condition.

Group of three pieces. Two old used finely wrapped basketry enclosed coconut containers and one cup from the island of Toraja, Indonesia. The tall one has a flat wood stopper with classic Toraja designs, Early to mid 20th century or earlier, with deep dark patina from traditional use.
