About the Item

This Spectacular, custom-made chandelier is not only a work of art, but an astonishing piece of early 20th-century American craftsmanship! Chandelier features: - Solid Brass construction - (6) Outward-facing brass sconces - (12) Interior candle lamps - Triple-fluted central hanger - (8) Cast-brass quatrefoil chain links - 6-armed hanger cast-brass rods - (6) wonderfully detailed goosenecked hooks - (6) Cast-brass angel details - Lavender, crimson red, and green painted accents - New electrical wiring Condition: The entire chandelier has been cleaned and polished piece-by-piece and all of the deteriorated cloth-wrapped wires have been replaced with new, modern wiring. Beautiful original patina! This chandelier was originally installed in the iconic Hotel Wisconsin in downtown Milwaukee. Designed by the distinguished Chicago architecture firm Holabird Roche, the Hotel Wisconsin is a jewel of renaissance-revival architecture and has been a downtown Milwaukee landmark for over 100 years! With direction from the architect, the design and manufacture of this fantastic light was completed by the Charles Polacheck Bro Lighting Company based in Milwaukee. The quality, and scale of this chandelier is absolutely exceptional and would make a striking addition to any Tudor, Empire, or Renaissance-Revival interior!
