About the Item

Louis Poulsen, pendant, model 'A-Lamp', brass, copper, painted copper, Denmark, 1930s Dating back to the 1930s, this lighting object made by Louis Poulsen is a rare occurrence. The multi-layered shade features round leaves, each meticulously crafted with beautiful contours and beveled edges. The light escapes through the gaps, reflecting the copper surface. A surprising element is the bright yellow lacquered interior of the shade. The juxtaposition of material finishes results in an ambient light partition with a radiant orange glow.
