About the Item
1940’s Original Holophane Mottled Prismatic Pendant Lamps.
Holophane was founded in France in the late 19th Century and they are famous for inventing and perfecting borosilicate glass reflectors often with intricate cast glass patterns which give a diffused and beautiful light. This is a simple run of Classic industrial pendants made from spun aluminium with the original prismatic glass reflectors. The aluminium has oxidised over the years to create the most exceptional finish. The listing is for one lamp. Each lamp has been cleaned and restored and all electrical components have been removed and replaced with modern European CE standard components to BS EN 60598. Each lamp is individually tested and labelled to BS EN 60598. INCLUDED: Each lamp comes completely wired and ready to install including; 2 metres of wire for hanging the lamps, 2 metres of black fabric covered electrical cable and a ceiling hook as shown. Each lamp is fitted with a standard E27 threaded lamp holder for which a wide range of modern and vintage style filament bulbs are widely available. We do not currently sell bulbs and recommend LED bulbs 6W maximum. We can also supply more than 2 metres of hanging cable/wire/chain etc. as required, please contact us separately to discuss. We are specialists in refurbishment of vintage lighting, please contact us with any questions regarding purchase or installation. The lamp is currently wired and fitted for UK and EU compliance. The lamp can be wired for compliance in the US or any global market.
Workshop Report:
We take electrical safety very seriously, our workshop team inspect every product and carry out any needed repairs to ensure that every lamp leaves us serviced and maintained ready for many more years of life. Each lamp has been cleaned and restored and all original electrical components have been removed and replaced with modern European CE standard components to BS EN 60598. Each lamp is individually tested and labelled to BS EN 60598. Each lamp comes completely wired.
