About the Item

A 1960s copper and glass hanging lamp pendant from Peil Putzler. This company was a 1947 merger between artisan glasblowers and copperworkers. Together they produced modernist lamps and glaswork in collaboration with the likes of Bauhaus and the German Design Counsil. After decades of high end production and lack of succession in a now industrialized world they closed down in in the 1990s. Many of their products can be found in museums worldwide but are nevertheless not well known by the general public.
