1960s Italian chandelier attributed to Fontana Arte. The chandelier's round perimeter covered with applied aqua slag glass panels which surround a frosted glass shade supported by a chrome finial and stem. Under the art direction of the great Gio Ponti, FontanaArte has been a leader in the modern lighting sector since 1931. The Italian lighting company's award-winning contemporary lighting innovations, beginning with Ponti's iconic 0024 Pendant lamp, have been celebrated for their inventive forms and lighting excellence, characteristics that have made FontanaArte an enduring presence on the modern lighting landscape for more than 80 years.
