About the Item
1960s Opaline Glass and Brass Pendant Attributed to Mauri Almari for Idman. Executed in opaline glass and brass with white cloth cord. Highly reminiscent of Paavo Tynell's iconic designs for Taito Oy. An incredibly refined design that is quintessentially Finnish.
A contemporary of Paavo Tynell, the inspired work of Mauri Almari has made him an increasingly valued midcentury Finnish designer by discerning collectors of fine lighting.
Price is per item. 3 lamps available.
Each lamp accommodates 1x 60W equivalent LED bulb (LED only). Professionally rewired for US electrical with custom fabricated period style brass canopy for mounting over a standard American j-box. New white cloth cord with adjustable drop. Not UL listed, but recommended UL listing possible from authorized 3rd party vendor upon request for an additional fee. Contact us to facilitate.
Some age appropriate scuffs, dings, nicks, patina, and wear as largely shown and noted only for accuracy. Please note that only one representative example appears in the photos. Some variation between lamps, but all lamps in comparably good condition and present well as a set. More images available upon request.
