About the Item
This Mid-Century Modern pendant lamp was produced in Czechoslovakia in the 1970s, originating from the historic glassmaking region of Kamenický Šenov. The lamp features a distinctive orange lacquered metal shade combined with a hand-blown white opaline glass globe, offering both sculptural presence and soft ambient illumination.
The bold color contrast and balanced proportions exemplify Eastern European mid-century lighting design. The opaline diffuser ensures an even, glare-free light, making the piece suitable for dining spaces, living areas, or architectural interiors.
The lamp has been fully rewired, is US compatible, and accommodates E26–E27 bulbs. The suspension height can be shortened upon request, allowing flexible installation.
