About the Item

Crafted in Italy circa 1880, this decorative chandelier is made of brass and celebrates the rustic beauty of vineyard life. The hand-painted frame is adorned with finely detailed grape clusters, curling tendrils, wheat stalks, and vine leaves, rendered in soft shades of green, gold, and burgundy. The naturalistic motifs are arranged along a circular frame, with eight gracefully scrolling arms, each fitted with faux wax candle sleeves and newly wired for modern use. The brass construction lends weight and durability, while the painted finish retains a timeworn patina that enhances its antique charm. Measuring 25″ W x 25″ D x 32″ H, this elegant light fixture would bring warmth and Old World sophistication to a dining room, kitchen, or wine cellar, evoking the romance of the Tuscan countryside. Breathtaking & exceptional! This French Art Nouveau chandelier made out of solid brass & hammered brass done fully by hand. Originally made for candles and later in its life converted to electricity made in the 1890s at the start of the art nouveau period. This chandelier is one of a kind. You can look at it for hours and still discover new leaves and flowers. We have fully dismantled this chandelier and hand polished all 43 of its parts, the polishing took 35 hours. The chandelier has also been fully rewired before being rebuild. It is now back in its former glory & ready for years of use. It is quite large and most impressive from any angle. The amount of floral decorations, quality of craftsmanship and attention to detail is amazing. Each of its 8 arms is richly decorated with leaves, flowers & grapes. Made out of solid brass and then decorated with hammered brass parts.
