A refined 20th century French gilt copper and rock crystal chandelier in the style of Maison Baguès, exquisitely crafted in the tradition of the celebrated Parisian atelier known for its masterful fusion of metalwork and precious crystal. This eight-light chandelier is arranged in two graceful tiers of curving foliate arms, each terminating in a candle-form socket with gilt bobeches modeled as stylized blossoms.
The scrolling rocaille armature, richly finished in warm gilding, is adorned throughout with hand-cut rock crystal pendants in a variety of forms—faceted pear-shaped drops, kite and lozenge pendants, and diamond rosettes—creating a rhythmic interplay of light and form.
