About the Item

Brutalist pendant lamp by Albano Poli for Longobard, Italy, 1970s. Wrought iron and welded structure, in a worn gold finish, and multicolored crystals hammered in the shape of a honeycomb. Clearly Brutalist style. Made in Verona, Italy, by Longobard, who was the competitor of Poliarte's brutalist glass creations in the 70s. This piece is at the same level of excellence as the artistic glass creations of Mazzega, Aldo Nason, F. Fabbian, Vistosi, La Murrina and Venini, among others. Mid-Century and Space Age style. For 3 E27 bulbs. Original electrical installation reviewed and fully operational. LED compatible. Wear and tear from the passage of time, and some rust marks (see last two photos). A chain can be added to increase the lenght. Note: We always try to the fullest to respect and preserve as much as possible all the original elements of each piece (wiring, lampshade, finishes...) so as not to alter the original aesthetics and so that they can continue to have another life with their intact soul. That is why sometimes certain elements can present wear and tear, but they are part of the life of each piece, always providing a very pleasant patina.
