About the Item

A rare chandelier in brass and opaline glass, designed by Angelo Lelii, produced by Arredoluce in the 1950s, with original authenticity label issued by the Arredoluce archive. The lighting pieces designed by Angelo Lelii for Arredoluce continue to captivate with the refined aesthetic research that the brand pursued since the early 1950s. This chandelier clearly showcases Lelii’s ability to combine different materials in a way that highlights their individual qualities. A sleek and finely polished brass stem, with a refined and precious feel, supports an opaline glass diffuser—delicate, ethereal, and light to the eye. The shape chosen for the glass element breaks conventional expectations: composed of two rounded forms set in an asymmetrical sequence, it conveys both elegance and a slightly austere presence. The lamp expresses a personal and distinctive style, reflecting a conceptual thread that runs through the entire Arredoluce production. Over the years, the company collaborated directly with some of the most prominent names in Italian design, including Albini, Magistretti, and Sottsass, to name just a few. Due to the enduring popularity and high demand for Arredoluce pieces, many reproductions and counterfeit versions have surfaced on the market. Choosing an iconic piece—significant in the history of design—also means appreciating the integrity and authenticity of the object. Collectors, decorators, and private enthusiasts alike should demand certainty. The piece we are presenting here meets this expectation: in excellent vintage condition, it bears the official Arredoluce archive label, guaranteeing its originality.
