About the Item
A rare, architectural ceiling fixture that marries genuine Art Deco design with early fluorescent lighting technology.
The piece features a symmetrical, rectilinear frame executed in heavily patinated brass. The structure is suspended by a stylized stem, adorned with classical Art Deco finials and a single amber glass bead accent. Two stepped, decorative end caps frame a central, long fluorescent tube, which provides bright, functional light. The design is characteristic of the Streamline Moderne phase of Art Deco (1930s), adapting the period's elegant luxury to new industrial light sources. This fixture functions as a flush-mount or shallow pendant, ideal for spaces requiring focused light with strong historical presence.
