About the Item

Antique Country French painted wrought iron chandelier is a magnificent example of elegant and skilled craftsmanship in the finest traditions! The contoured oval frame serves as the basis for the design, with open scrollwork around the entire perimeter, and upon which are mounted the double arms each scrolled in a graceful serpentine form then fitted with bobeches upon which new electrical sockets and realistic candlesleeve covers have been mounted. The main body is also fitted with smoked glass on the bottom which allows the four extra sockets inside the frame to shine down into the room with a diffuse effect. The oval frame is suspended with double scrolled wrought iron arms adorned with acanthus plumes painted a patinaed gold for accent, leading the eye up to the crown which literally looks like a crown! Burgundy red balls imitate jewels on the crown, with elaborate scrollwork creating the form. Twelve lights in total make this an excellent choice for not only adding mystique and ambiance to the room, but a substantial amount of illumination as well! We recommend, of course, dimmable LED lights, preferably in the 2700 to 3000K color range with frosted flame tips like you see pictured herein.
