Antique Brass Frosted Glass Hexagonal Lantern by GEC – Art Nouveau Cassell Model A refined medium-sized pendant lantern by G.E.C (General Electric Co. Ltd), this elegant design was first introduced in the early 1920s and appears in their 1926 lighting catalogue under the model name Cassell (Code F1128). With a hexagonal form and understated Art Nouveau styling, this brass and frosted glass fitting offers a timeless lighting solution with historic charm. Crafted in the UK, the frame is made from brass with a warm antique factory-applied finish. Each frosted glass panel features an inset oval brass motif, diffusing light beautifully to create a soft, ambient glow. The simplicity of the design is elevated by its quality of materials and subtle decorative details. A superb hallway, porch, or stairwell feature, especially in period homes or tasteful renovations where subtle vintage lighting is key. When renovating our original reclaimed lighting all existing electrical parts are removed and renewed with modern electrical components. All components used are CE certified and our lights are wired tested in line with BSEN Standards. As standard our lights come with 2m of our premium fabric three core cable to a colour of your choice unless stated otherwise in the product description. Generally, ES or BS lamp holders are used unless otherwise stated and are fully compatible with main dimmers and modern LED filament bulbs. Our lights can be wired to bespoke specifications, longer lengths, different cable types and compatibility with specialist dimming systems such as DALI can all be accommodated. Lights supplied to U.S.A and Canada are installed using UL Certified cable and lamp holders. As standard we supply round black fabric cable and E26 holders. Please note that although we use UL certified components our original reclaimed lights do not come with UL certification. Due to the antique nature of our original vintage lights, we cannot offer an official IP rating and cannot guarantee our lights for external use.
