- An extremely rare Holophane 'Blondel Stiletto' chandelier, England circa 1910. - The chandelier comprises of two sections of glass (both stamped 'Patent No. 20222 1909 Holophane 6310') and four prismatic 'stiletto' glass shades overlapping across each corner of the original brass decorative ring. - A beautiful example and statement piece for any room, the chandelier comes with its original ceiling rose and chain. - Height 74cm, Width 51cm, Depth 51cm. - Rewired in braided flex and PAT tested Holophane Originally founded in 1893 the hallmark of Holophane luminaires was the borosilicate glass reflector, which acted as a prism providing a combination of uplight and downlight, to illuminate any environment evenly without creating dark spots or glare.
