About the Item
This beautiful Art Deco molded, frosted, and painted thick glass ceiling light features a floral design in purple, yellow, orange, blue, and green colors, signed “Loys Lucha”. The outer edge is decorated with a geometric design. The colorful pendant light is hung on three suspension chains decorated with flowers and ivy leaves, made of bronze. One socket for the E27 (E26) light bulb. France, 1930s.
In good condition, with some signs of aging, the bronze fixture has a slight patina which underlines its authenticity and beautiful aging.
Dimensions: Diameter 36 cm / 14.17 in, height is circa 70 cm / 27.56 in.
The light fixture is in complete working order, but as with all vintage or antique lighting, we would always suggest it is tested and fitted by a qualified electrician.
Loys Lucha was the famous glassmaker company of Louis Joseph Chaffard-Luçon (1880-1951), based in Billancourt near Paris, France, and specialized in enameled glass in Art Deco style.
