About the Item

Extremely unique organic modern pendant lights made circa 1980s. These lights are made from welded steel and an epoxy resin. Resin is perfectly translucent to emit warm light in addition to the resins yellow-tan tint. Once lit and hung, the pendants cast light downward in a triangular beam. The shape of these pendants reminds us of the cocoons of moths or butterflies. They are quite stately and look fantastic hung together in a series or by themselves. If you have high ceilings and are looking for a Noguchi adjacent light - this one is for you. These pendants are in great vintage condition with minor patina to the resin and steel, consistent with age and use. Please note that the purchase of these pendants includes the pendant and socket NOT the cord. We would recommend hard-wiring, but can also be used as plug ins.
