Beautiful Cocoon pendant lamp from the 1960s, Italian production.
This piece was found in a historic billiard hall in Genoa, where—according to the owner—it remained hanging for nearly 50 years. For this reason, it bears the natural signs of wear and the subtle marks that testify to its long life and authentic history.
Its organic and flowing design is typical of the era, with soft, sculptural curves that give the impression of a cloud suspended in mid-air. The shade is crafted from the distinctive Cocoon resin, an innovative material of the time, widely adopted by leading mid-century designers for its ability to diffuse a warm, atmospheric glow.
This particular lamp shows a beautiful, even patina across the surface, enhancing its vintage charm and originality. The lamp holder is equipped with an E27 socket, also compatible with E26 American standards, ensuring easy international use.
An iconic example of mid-century Italian design, perfect for adding character and a sense of history to both modern and vintage interiors.
