About the Item
This refined pendant lamp is an exemplary piece of mid-century Danish lighting design, attributed to the celebrated architect and designer Vilhelm Lauritzen and manufactured by the renowned firm Louis Poulsen during the 1960s. The design perfectly encapsulates the Danish focus on functionalism, soft lighting, and meticulous craftsmanship.
The lamp is composed of two distinct, elegant sections. The upper section features a beautiful, elongated brass cylinder, which connects the shade to the hanging wire. The brass exhibits a warm patina, adding a vintage character that contrasts beautifully with the lower element.
The main light body is a stylish, cylindrical shade crafted from black lacquered metal. The bottom of the shade tapers slightly inward and is finished with a perforated or textured metal ring, likely designed to subtly diffuse the light and prevent glare while adding a unique visual detail.
