Vintage Brutalist chandelier by Marcello Fantoni, Fantoni Studio, Firenze. Made in Italy in the 1960s.
Metal and murano glass.
Marcello Fantoni (1915-2011) was born in Florence, Italy. He was a sculptor, ceramicist, metalworker and designer. In 1936, he opened the Fantoni ceramic workshop in Florence. There he produced ceramic series, as well as unique products, sculptures and furniture.
Very good vintage condition.
Electrical cables have been renewed to professional electrician.

The weight of the lamp is 16 kg.
Lamp requires European 4xE27 and 2xE14 lightbulb and compatible with E12 and E26 USA socket. Works with standard bulbs, LED or halogen, 220V for Europe and 110V for the USA.

Marcello Fantoni
Marcello Fantoni was a Florentine artist who specialized in ceramics. He studied at the Art Institute in Florence, where Libero Andreotti and Bruno Innocenti were his sculpting professors and Gianni Vagnetti was his figurative art professor. Fantoni began to work as a ceramist in 1934, opening his factory in 1936. After the Second World War, he became very successful, and his works are held in some of the world's most important museums (from the USA to Japan).
