About the Item

Brutalist pendant lamp by Felipe Delfinger for Feders, Mexico, 1960s. Custom stained glass diffuser in blue, orange, caramel and white tones, combined with a brass structure. Crafted by the artist Felipe Derflingher around the late 1960s, this art glass pendant light fixture is a perfect representation of Mid-Century Modern design. The fixture captivates with its fascinating play of light that casts a warm light and inviting glow, offering both illumination and inspiration; it's not just seen as a light source but appreciated as a piece of fine art. Very much in the style of Longobard’s Brutalist creations, who was the competitor of Poliarte's glass creations in the 70s. Farmhouse style. This piece is at the same level of excellence as the artistic glass creations of Tiffany Studios and La Murrina, among others. Diffuser measurements: 23.5cm high and 29cm in diameter. For one E27 bulb (compatible with E26 bulbs). Original electrical installation reviewed and fully operational, with new wire. LED compatible. Little wear with a nice patina on the brass structure. Art Glass lampshade in perfect condition. A chain can be added to increase the lenght. The whole lampshade is a little bit delicate due to the lead welded unions, so better handle the piece with care. Original unrestored vintage preowned condition. Note: We always try to the fullest to respect and preserve as much as possible all the original elements of each piece (wiring, lampshade, finishes...) so as not to alter the original aesthetics and so that they can continue to have another life with their intact soul. That is why sometimes certain elements can present wear and tear, but they are part of the life of each piece, always providing a very pleasant patina.
