Greene was a pioneering and artistic African American designer and businessman. He started his career making dental prosthetics and jewelry and then moved onto larger sculptural pieces. Large scale wall sconces by Tom Greene for Feldman Lighting, circa 1965. Brutalist design fabricated in Los Angeles by cutting brass and applying patination with an oxyacetylene torch. Three long candelabra each takes up to 60 watt bulbs, so 180 watts per sconce.
