About the Item
These are French Art Deco wall sconces, attributed to the French artist David Gueron Degue. These date to sometime between the late 1920s and the early 1940s, and the listed price includes one sconce. We have four sconces available for purchase. Their design features molded clear frosted glass shades that have a detailed geometric Empire motif, and they are mounted in nickel-plated bronze frames. The frames have a stepped pattern, echoing the zeitgeist of the Deco period. These sconces were not mass-produced by any means, and are scarce to encounter in the US marketplace.
Each sconce measures 5.25 inches deep, 8.875 inches wide, and 15.375 inches long. They accommodate one candelabra bulb, and have been re-wired for U.S. standards. They are in lovely condition with no chips or cracks. Please see photos. Genuinely faulty goods will be replaced or money refunded on a case by case basis, however we must be advised of any faulty goods upon receipt of the item. It is the customer's responsibility to pay for return shipping and ship the item back to us. If the item is found to be faulty, we will also refund the postage cost. If there is no damage to the item, but a return is approved, the buyer will be responsible for both the initial and return shipping cost. It is at our discretion to refuse the refund of undamaged goods. If an order is placed and you would like to cancel the order, please notify us immediately. Any refunds will be processed via the same means that payment was made.
