Early 19th Century French D Ore Bronze Empire Chandelier

This classic Empire style bronze d’ore chandelier is draped with ropes of octagon cut crystals and dates back to the 19th century. The French antique piece offers 18 lights and a crown of reticulated acanthus leaves which sport gorgeous oval cut crystals. The French antique piece dates back to the 19th century and sports a spiraling fluted crown at top. Moving down the center stem we see three gorgeously detailed falcon heads protecting the room below. Acanthus leaves rest on the stylized torch arms. A detailed floriate design with grape vines fills the bronze d’ore above the winged gargoyles at bottom.
